As most of you already know rapper Lil Wayne is due to start a year-long prison term later this month. He will be serving his time in a New York correctional facility.
Lil Wayne mentioned in a recent interview that he views this situation as if, everything is meant to be, and he realizes that it’s an experience that he must need to have if God’s putting him through it.
I think I can honestly say that this is the first time that I have ever heard anyone say that they were looking forward to going to jail. I am surprised that the judge didn’t send him upstate for a mental evaluation.
It has been said that Lil Wayne’s performance at the Grammy Awards was his last performance as a free man. Many industry experts are wondering what type of effect will this situation have on his music career if any.
Lil Boosie wasn’t even thinking about Jesse Jackson when the loot was flowing and he was running around town flossing. Now that he is in jail without the bail all of sudden he is screaming JESSE JACKSON.
In a recent interview Boosie was quoted as saying, “This is my first conviction, Jesse Jackson needs to be down here screaming for me too. This is my first conviction and I am doing jail time. I know millions of people with paper on them for gun and drug charges, but I got sentenced because of who I am… Jail only makes you sell more records. Niggas are already asking to book me for the first Saturday I’m home. Offering amounts of money I’ve never gotten before for shows. I’m just gonna be in there chilling, looking at pictures, beating my dick to bad bitches.”
I think that his punishment is a little excessive, however he did violate his probation not once but twice. Boosie my botha what did you think was going to happen?
