Over the Holidays I decided to check out The Lopez Tonight show. Keep in mind that I am not a big fan of late night television. I can’t understand how people even watch shows like Dave Letterman, and Jay Lenno etc.. Those shows are stale, and boring to say the least. They always have the same old Hollywood insiders on them who do nothing but promote their latest project blah, blah, blah.

When I set down to watch The Lopez Tonight Show I was expecting to see the same old format. Boy was I surprised, this show was the best talk show that I have ever seen. I loved it – it was funny as hell and I must admit. George didn’t sell out. He kept it real and he has REAL guest on his show, such as Ray Romano, Mariah Carey, 50 Cent, and Snoop Dogg.

George Lopez’s show focuses on an audience that would other wise get ignored, and if you haven’t took the time to watch the Lopez Tonight Show I have a clip below for you:

Young K

It’s been a long time since I wrote about an independent artist. The reason is simple… I haven’t ran by any worth writing a review about. Then out of no where I receive a tweet from “khao310” saying that they were about to do a live stream. I said to my self what the hell…

I opened the laptop and to my surprise Young K was was spittin’ nothing but fire. I’m talking about real freestyles not the Drake reading from a BlackBerry freestyle. His flow was versatile, and he was able to freestyle off of damn near beat that the fans were throwing at him.

If you are an indie artist I strongly advise you to grab your notebook and take some lessons from Young K. He is utilizing the internet to build his fan base, and from what I could see he is doing a damn good job at it. At the time of me writing this article Young K had well over 100 visitors watching as he ripped freestyle after freestyle.

So Young K if you are reading this I want to get you in theJackin4Beats Magazine hot seat and give you a real interview. Are you up for it pimpin’? We could get on Skype and do it realtime, let’s find out the answer behind the question of who YOUNG K is. I’m inviting you to do a Jackin4Beats Exclusive. Holla

If you want to check out Young K you can find him everywhere your not right now:

weave_humanI just finished watching a documentary hosted by world renowned comedian Chris Rock entitled, “Good Hair”. The movie took you behind the hair care industry and showed you the real deal about hair relaxers, which they referred to as “Crack”.

The documentary brought up the question of black women and there weaves. It got me to thinking about how I felt about the situation. So I decided to touch on a few points that I thought about and share it with my readers.

Here are a few facts based on my experiences. I have been around the world and have met women of many different races and backgrounds. Black woman aren’t the only race of woman that wear weaves. I have seen European woman with weaves, Asian woman, Spanish woman and the list goes on.

I’m not really sure how black woman got stuck with the crown for wearing weaves and no one else.

The part that kills me with woman and weaves is that they never want you to touch their hair. How in the hell can you get intimate and never touch the hair? I have a problem with that… Don’t get me wrong I’m cool with a woman having a weave but at sometime before sex comes into play I think the truth about the hair should be revealed.

The next thing that I wonder about is how much weave is to much weave? Personally I think that some woman take it to the extreme.

I do know this though… As long as a woman is unhappy she will make everyone in her life unhappy. So if getting a weave, fake breast, or bigger lips makes her happy then baby do what you have to do.

Well that’s my little rant about woman and there un-be-weavable weaves. What’s your opinion on the matter?

lil-wayne-02Critics from around the world are all speculating on Lil Waynes future. Recently the superstar rapper pleaded guilty to an attempted criminal possession of a weapon in New York.

Sources say that the rapper could possibly receive on year in prison. Lil Waynes plea was related to a 2007 weapons possession arrest in New York City; police said a gun was found on his tour bus in Manhattan in July 2007.

Wayne was forced to give up his passport Thursday; he will next appear in court on Dec. 15 and he’ll be sentenced in February, the New York district attorney spokeswoman said.

Let’s take a step back and look at the bigger picture here… His guilty plea could seriously effect the sales of his next album. If he is in jail he can’t tour if he can’t tour sales are going to drop. Even if he isn’t on tour without having a passport that limits his sales to domestic territories either way he will suffer a loss.

Part of me really feels bad for this dude. BUT the other part of me can’t help but wonder…. Why in the hell do you need a gun when you are making millions? You pay someone else for that don’t you?

ti-jailedA month from beginning a yearlong federal prison sentence, rapper T.I. spoke to dozens of high school students, half serving juvenile sentences, in Atlanta. He told them to work hard and stay in school. I’m not sure but I find that to be a little humorous.

His appearance was part of a deal with the court that cut as much as 10 years from his sentence, a sentence that has drawn criticism for its leniency.

Since 1997, T.I., 28, has been jailed or arrested for running a crack cocaine distribution conviction, giving false names to police, skipping court dates, probation violations and illegal weapons charges.

The question that runs through my mind is simple… Why in the hell would some one in his position still want to deal with the seedier side of life. I am a fan of his music without a doubt, however he needs to work on his decision making skills. That’s just my opinion.

50cent-01According to Jackin4Beats sources Ricky Ross has believed his lyrics for a long time now. He was beginning to feel himself so much that he started throwing little disses 50’s way.  When 50 didn’t respond right away Rick thought he had got away clean.

I guess Rick was wrong… 50 was just laying low doing his homework like a general is suppose to do. Not only has 50 vowed to end this dudes career (does he have the power to do it?) he came back with a track that pretty much decapitated the boss man. The title of the track is entitled “Officer Ricky (Try Me).”

50 must have decided to maximize the space on his track because he went after several others. I have to tell it like it is… The track is hot! 50 took aim at DJ Khaled and Lil’ Wayne.

I have to give props when props are do. I thought Rick was going to ignore 50 and keep grinding hoping that 50 would let all of this fade away. Rick responded right away by calling into Shade 45 and responding to the track “Officer Ricky.” He also said that he will give 50 48 hours to release a proper response.

My question is what in the hell is a proper response? Rick said that he had every intentions of squashing this beef at the BET Hip Hop Award but he claimed that he was turned off by 50’s demeanor.

Listen to the diss track for yourself:
