As most of you already know rapper Lil Wayne is due to start a year-long prison term later this month. He will be serving his time in a New York correctional facility.

Lil Wayne mentioned in a recent interview that he views this situation as if, everything is meant to be, and he realizes that it’s an experience that he must need to have if God’s putting him through it.

I think I can honestly say that this is the first time that I have ever heard anyone say that they were looking forward to going to jail. I am surprised that the judge didn’t send him upstate for a mental evaluation.

It has been said that Lil Wayne’s performance at the Grammy Awards was his last performance as a free man. Many industry experts are wondering what type of effect will this situation have on his music career if any.

mike-jThe memorial service held in LA on Tuesday July 7, 2009, was amazing.  I watched it several times just to get the real vibe of the performers, and guests.  It was awesome, the words spoken by Brooke Shields about the “real” Michael Jackson, and the touching words by Jermaine and Marlon were fabulous.  The words that Al Sharpton spoke and the tears he shed were truly heartfelt.  Usher and Jennifer Hudson’s performance brought down the house, yet the most humanistic moment of that entire ceremony was Paris Katherine Michael Jackson.  That 9 year old made Michael Jackson a “man”, a “daddy”. He became much more than a performer,  an artist, he became a “man” to me that day.

For all the media and press who are covering this story, if you didn’t feel anything at that moment, you need to walk away from journalism, you are not human.  The negative words and coverage that is coming out about Michael doesn’t mean a thing to those children.  He was then and will always be the best father in the world to them.

People are acting as if they have no secrets, no skeletons in their closets.  That’s probably why they do this job, to keep the focus off of the things they are doing in their lives that is not right.

Give it a rest people, leave him be, let these children remember their father as the man who loved them more than life, and he did.  He managed to keep them from you all for 12 years.  God Bless Mike.

More to come on the Coroner’s report.  Stay tuned, Scoop got the info coming at you!
