After watching Mike Tyson on Oprah Winfrey I thought that the days of negative press was behind him. Well it would appear that I was wrong. I guess that the champ is still a big attention grabber for the media. According to anonymous sources the champ ended up going one round with a photographer at LAX International Airport. The sad part about this little situation is that it could land the champ back in jail if it is determined that this is a probation violation.
A Maricopa County, AZ, probation official, said that his office will start court proceedings to determine if Tyson may have violated his parole.
Both Tyson and Tony Echeverria both claim they were struck Wednesday during an altercation. The photographer was treated for a cut on his forehead, and was immediately released.
After the altercation both men were held by airport police on suspicion of a misdemeanor battery, but were released after questioning. We were told that the fate of both men will rest upon the city attorney who will ultimately decide whether to file charges or not.
The former heavyweight champ is currently on probation after pleading guilty to cocaine possession and driving under the influence in Arizona two years ago. This is the charge that is dangling over the champs head at the moment.
An on the spot Jackin4Beats reader text from his cell phone to say that Tyson was extremely corporative with airport police, and after taking their report they let Tyson continue his trip.
According to Tyson’s spokeswoman Mrs. Tammy Brook, the champ was traveling with his wife and 10 month old child when he was attacked by an extremely aggressive paparazzi.
“Mike acted in self defense as a father protecting his child,” she said.
The photographers camera was booked as evidence and the police are also checking to see if there were any surveillance video that may have captured what really happened.
Personally I understand that the paparazzi’s are just doing there job, however my question is a simple one. At what point should it be considered crossing the line as far a paparazzi’s are concerned? I also understand that the are entitled to their freedom of speech and all of that mumble jumble, but be honest… Some of them take things too far.
Rihanna has plans to head back to Los Angeles for Chris Brown’s March 5 court date.
An anonymous source told Jackin4Beats.com that she has to testify and that if Chris is convicted, he won’t face jail time because the Feb. 8 altercation was his first offense.
Meanwhile, per the suggestion of his crisis PR rep Michael Sitrick, Chris attended his first anger management class Monday afternoon in Glendale, Calif. The 19-year-old singer
has not been ordered to go, but the effort might help him look better to the public and in court.
The question is – is Chris doing this because he is trying to change??? Or is he attempting to avoid jail time.
